Circuit Instructor (Level 2)

Three day practical Circuits Module for qualified Instructors who want to widen their expertise & skills. Candidates will sit a practical assessment - Plan, Teach and Evaluate Circuits which leads to the CYQ Level 2 Award.  
 
Circuit training is extremely versatile and its popularity is growing all the time. Sessions can be a very effective way of building up strength and endurance for a wide range of fitness levels.  
 
The course covers  
 
•Planning effective circuits (circuit formats, circuit layouts, interval training)  
 
•Teaching safe circuit classes (teaching skills, class management, use of small equipment)  
 
•Lots of ideas for teaching to cater for a wide range of classes.  
 
•Preparation for the CYQ Certificate in Teaching Exercise and Fitness (Circuits) practical assessment.  
 
Candidates must provide their Level 2 Certificate in order to claim the CYQ Certificate. Recognised qualifications are on the National Qualifications Framework 'accredited qualifications'. If you hold a non NQF Certificate, you may be considered for this qualification but will have to provide evidence for “accreditation of prior learning”  
 
Courses can be run as a full Level 2 for new entrants to the fitness industry (see courses) Candidates are advised to attend a variety of circuit classes with different Instructors to broaden their knowledge of class formats and teaching methods before applying for a place on the course.  
 
ILA FUNDING  
You may qualify for financial help towards this course in the form of an Individual Learning Account. To be eligible, you have to be over 18 and live in Wales.  
 
You may be eligible for up to £100 towards the cost of the course if you do not have qualifications higher than GCSE, NVQ2 or BTEC first certificate. If you or your partner are claiming any INCOME RELATED BENEFITS you could be eligible for up to £200 each year. For more information on ILA Funding contact Learn Direct on Tel:- 0800 100900.  
 
If you are applying for an ILA please note that FUNDING MUST BE IN PLACE BEFORE YOU PAY ANY MONEY to Fitness Wales.  
 
If your funding is approved you will receive a training voucher which you should send to Fitness Wales along with your details. When your voucher has been processed by Fitness Wales you will receive a second letter from ILA Wales. At this stage your funding is secure and you can book onto the course.
