TRUSTEES
Fitness Wales are looking for FIVE trustees to join the charity and support the future strategic development and operation for the organisation.
The role is a voluntary/unpaid role and requires attendance at four meetings per year during which the Directors of Fitness Wales report to the Trustees.
We would value applications from individuals with expertise and skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Human resources, pensions and employment legislation
- Finances and accounts
- Funding and community projects
- Awarding body legislation and sector skills operations
- Experience of working for, or with, a charitable organisation
- Qualification structure and development
- Assessment and verification
- Business development
- Promotion and marketing
- Events management
- Membership services
- ICT

Please note that whilst the Directors of Fitness Wales are accountable to the Trustees, the Trustees are accountable to the Charity Commission. Trustees therefore act in accordance with Charity Commission requirements and guidance. In practice Trustees take responsibility for controlling the management and the administration of the charity and have the ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of the charity, ensuring it is solvent and well run.
